The “My Current” program is a subsidy of up to PLN 5,000 for photovoltaics, which in previous editions was very popular with investors and individual customers. Especially for you, we offer assistance in going through the entire process of applying for a grant – all you need is a photovoltaic installation with a capacity from 2 to 10 kWp!
What is the “My Current” program?
“My Current” subsidy is a form of support for consumers who generate their own energy. The power of the installation itself should be between 2 kWp and 10 kWp in order for the owner to apply for financial support. It is worth noting that the subsidy includes not only the cost of purchasing equipment, but also the installation of the photovoltaic system.
Who can benefit from the subsidy?
In order to apply for the subsidy, one must have the status of an individual generating his own electricity mainly for his own needs and residential purposes. In addition, it is necessary to have a comprehensive agreement with the utility company, which regulates all aspects of the introduction of energy obtained from the micro-installation into the grid.
In addition, the subsidy covers only new equipment, i.e. manufactured no more than 2 years before installation. It is not possible to obtain support for increasing the capacity or renovating an existing installation. If you have more than one installation and want to apply for their subsidy, note that in this case you must submit two separate applications.
How to apply for the program?
Before you fill out an application for the “My Electricity” program, make sure that all the necessary requirements have been met. First and foremost is the completed installation project – that is, the final connection of the installation to the grid with the prior drawing up of a comprehensive agreement and the replacement of the meter with a two-way meter. Depending on whether you apply as an individual or a photovoltaic company, the way you submit the paperwork may differ.
In any case, however, the application must be accompanied by an invoice for the purchase and installation of the system, confirmation of payment of the invoice, documents confirming that a two-way meter has been installed and data for identifying the comprehensive agreement. Once the application is approved, its form changes into a grant agreement.
Points to pay attention to
Before you fill out an application for a subsidy from the “My Current” program, read additional information about its implementation:
- The recipient of the subsidy is required to agree to control inspections of the installation within 3 years from the date of receipt of the subsidy;
- If the applicant has accepted funding from another source or is implementing a photovoltaic installation under a program other than “My Current” – it is not possible to receive support again;
- Under the program, the applicant is reimbursed up to 50% of the investment cost, in addition, the subsidy is exempt from PIT;
- There is a possibility that the scope of the subsidy will be expanded to include other eco-solutions that are compatible with photovoltaics.
